FLAME RETARDANT SURFACE

FF-PIR FR insulation panels are suited for almost all structural solutions where solid fire resistance is required the insulation, such as P1 fire class structural solutions with ventilator slots for multistorey buildings. FF-PIR insulation products have been certified by Eurofins Expert Services for use in P1 fire class buildings with the maximum height of 56 meters.

FF-PIR FR insulation can be used in structures where the surface fire class requirement for insulation is B-s1, d0. Such structures include ventilated exterior wall structures of P1 fire class apartment buildings, for example. FF-PIR FR panels feature a special coating on both sides. The FF-PIR FR panels are always installed into the inner envelope with the dark flame retardant laminate facing outward, which provides a fire class of B-s1, d0. The panel is thus always installed into the structure with the black FR side facing the ventilation gap and the light gray side against the concrete. When the FR laminate warms up, it will expand approximately 35 mm and close the ventilation gap. The fire class of the insulating foam component of FF-PIR insulation is D-s2, d0.

The size of the FF-PIR FRL panels is 590 x 2 400 mm and they have a rabbet groove on all sides. The panels are stocked in thicknesses of 50, 70, 100, 120, 140, and 150 mm with other thicknesses available on order.

The minimum order for products with a thickness / method of fitting not listed in the price catalog is 30 m3. All products are available with rabbet or tongue and groove. The delivery amount for any FF-PIR FR special product may vary by +0–30 m2 in relation to the ordered amount.

Declared thermal conductivity (λDeclared) of the panels:
< 80mm: 0.027 W/mK
81–119 mm: 0.026 W/mK
≥ 120 mm: 0.025 W/mK

Foam: Polyurethane (polyisocyanurate)
Coating: One side of the insulation panel is covered with a black fire-resistant laminate and the other side with a light gray special laminate. The panel is installed such that the black side faces the ventilation gap and the light gray side is against the concrete.
